Join us for five wonderful days in the historic seaside town of Newburyport, MA. Anchored in rich maritime heritage, you will enjoy the mighty Merrimack River, and the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy shopping in the quaint downtown. Visit some of New England’s first period homes, right here in Newbury.
Stacy & Vickie will coordinate very special designs, just for us. Two days will be spent with each instructor. They will each design a large and small project and who knows what other surprises they will have in store for you.
Maggie will be creating two wonderful designs, a large project, along with a small project. And, you know how she loves to use a mix of Wool, Linen and Antique Textiles. I am sure her projects will be both unique and special, as always!
You will also have time to explore what Newburyport has to offer. I have also lined up a couple of group activities. The Museum of Old Newbury is bringing Samplers out of archive for our group to see. And, we will visit Crane Hill Estate (pictured below), and Mrs. Crane’s stumpwork and textile collection.
We will have a fun store with a mixture of hand dyed wool, linen, vintage fabrics, handmade items, antiques, patterns and needful sewing items. You are sure to find something that is an absolute treasure!
One of my favorite textile dealers will be coming by one afternoon, with loads of antique fabrics, quilts and treasurers. She has been collecting for decades and is selling much of her collection. She has vast knowledge and is a true gem. I’m reluctant to share her, but am happy to help her and her daughter anyway I can.

AND to avoid retreat ENVY, you will have the option to purchase the projects from the instructor(s) class you opted out of. Meaning, if you sign up for Maggie’s retreat, but you also want Stacy and Vickie’s projects, you will be able to pre-order those projects ahead of time. Because you cannot do both retreats, we wanted to be sure to offer you the opportunity to purchase the other projects.. We wouldn’t want you to miss out on anything.
The retreat deposit is $400, required at registration. The balance will divided into two payments and I will email a payment schedule after sign up is concluded. You will have an opportunity at that time to pre-order kits as well.
