Gypsy’s Homestead was inspired by many things I love. I originally made it just for myself and then decided to share it. Gypsy, my childhood horse started my journey and I quickly added in a primitive log cabin and a meadow of wildflowers. All while sitting on the deck of our cabin watching my little Moe enjoying watching the birds fly overhead. So much inspiration everywhere I looked.
I love the blues and browns together, so decided to go folky and make Gypsy “Faded Indigo”. The background is Salem Linen along with a piece of ‘1692’ wool stitched to the side. I enjoyed adding some different elements, such as twine for the stems and my love for antique textiles had to be added.
Your kit will include everything you see in the picture, with the exception of the fabric I used for “Moe”. He was quite delicate to stitch, so I decided to include a reproduction mourning fabric for him instead to make it easier. But all the other antique fabrics will be included as seen.
